Institute for Regional Policy (IRP)
The Institute for Regional Policy (IRP) is a Russian non-governmental and non-profit organization established in 2005 in Moscow. The main mission of the IRP is to build up capacity in regional development and regional policy analysis in Russia. The goals of the IRP are: to conduct advanced research in main actors of regional development (federal and regional authorities, business groups), to support and develop ideas in regional development, to suggest new approaches to regional policy.
The main current activities of the Institute for Regional Policy:
- monitoring of business-groups regional strategies, federal economic policy in re-gions, social and economic policy of regional authorities, regional political events,
- project "Territorial Structure of Russian Economy",
- development of new liberal regional policy strategy,
- project "New Development of Eastern Siberia",
- organization of seminars on regional development and regional policy.
The scientific leader of the IRP is professor Olga Kouznetsova, the director of the IRP is Bulat Stolyarov.
